Tiger coke cans

came across these cans..when I was tearing up and re doing the
attic..here in Elvis central...have NO idea how they got here..
perhaps the former owner was a TIGERS fan..anyhow, it's a partial
set of the 1984 coca cola Tiger 1984 world champions coke cans.
I believe their was 25 in the series..coke cans with a drawing of
each Tiger player..I found 22 cans..missing three I reckon'...

this is what I found..John Grubb, Rusty Kuntz, Dave Bergman, Sid Monge,
Tommy Brookens, Dave Rozema, Larry Herndon, Doug Bair, Milt Wilcox,
Juan Berenger, Whitaker, Trammel, Chet Lemon, Howard Johnson,
Doug Baker, Dan Petry, A.Lopez, Willie Hernandez, & B.Garbey..

So I guess I'm missing Jack Morris, Lance Parrish, and Darrel Evans.

wild find....have no idea-what to do with 'em..any ideas ? have no idea
where to even located those three missing cans..and was SPARKY
a part of the series ? funny, how they turned up here in Memphis...;)

When the commericals aired for those cans in the Detroit area, the one can Sparky Anderson kept on picking up to display for the camera was Marty Castillo.

I remember getting a few of those cans, but I no longer have them. I don't recall if Sparky was included or not, but I don't think so.

Try e-Bay. I know the miniature collector's coke bottles come up from time to time there (for Tiger Stadium and the team's 100th anniversary.)

Also,if you're going on ebay,simplify your search for something like "Detroit Tigers Coca Cola cans".If you just type in Coca Cola,you'll be looking forever for those cans.Trust me on this.;)

have found two additional cans...22 cans..found Bill Scherner
and Marty Castillo.....so that leaves Morris, Parrish, and Evans...

not a bad find..22 outta 25....I bet some collector joints near
the corner, might have 'em....cans in good shape..dusty, and
of course, empty of coke..does look sorta cool...wow, hard to believe
21 yrs later......found out the former home owner who sold me the
house in 2001, was a TIGERS fan...( this is ST.LOUIS CARDS COUNTRY)

he has since moved to Oregon...I'm thinking of eventually, returning
to Michigan....or the outer fringes of new Mexico....in the next couple
of years...maybe by then, the club will win the central..Leyland the
toast of Motown, Pizza Mike sells the club, and something good is
done with the corner...I was wondering....has Sparky ever made a
comment about Comerica ? goood ? bad ?
