Does anyone know where I can buy a Browns cap? Is it possible to buy one?

Tigerfan -

Try the Cooperstown Ball Cap Company. They make all their caps individually and they can do any Browns cap you want.

Tiger Fan,
I have a 1950-51 suede orange and brown old timer's cap.
Roman Pro- size 7 1/4.
I also have a few St. Louis Browns Starter T-shirts that were made back in the mid 80's.
My email is dmcgregor23@yahoo.com

Sorry, Tigerfan. - I should've told you that individually made items from Cooperstown Ball Cap Company don't come cheap. The New Era cap should be cheaper. - It just won't have the real wool and authentic look of the Cooperstown Cap.

My favorite story about the cost of things used to hang in a printing shop that I once used. - It simply read ...

"Our work is good, fast, and cheap. - Pick the two factors that you want."

Play around with that one for a while and you get:

Good & Fast = Not Cheap.
Fast & Cheap = Not Good.
Cheap & Good = Not Fast.

I'll grant you that $44 bucks is a lot to pay for a cap. You can find a cheaper one. Just pick what's right for you.

Try Manny's Baseball Land. Search the web and call the 800 #. I think you can also get Brown's warmup jackets with leather sleeves for a couple of hundred $.

Hello Folks,

Since this is my first attempt at a post, there may be mistakes.

I've had good luck buying STL Brown's caps at the website:

www.dugout-memories.com/balori.hmtl

Price was only $25 and they even responded quickly (with the right size)when the first cap I ordered was too big for my ever shrinking head!

I have three of them in my garage. One brown with an orange STL and bill. One all brown with a white STL, and one white with a brown bill and orange STL.

I'm seriously considering one of the Browns Caps for Cooperstown Ballcap Co.... They look fantastic.

Probably the 1944.....
That's "Prolly 44" in Dizzy Dean Speak.

But home or away?? I guess I could wear the home (primarily white) with more of the clothes that I own, but would the white wool hold up, or get dirtier than heck over time? Maybe the 44 away, but gray, orange and brown?!?!?! Got to love those colors!!

And a Cardinals cap too, I suppose, but not sure which one. Anybody ever own a Cooperstown Ballcap?

I am wearing a '52-'53 road cap as we speak I buy either the franchise cap style or clean up style from MLB.com. They sit much better on the head and look "cool", not boxey and dorky. Hat fans will know what I mean. $17.99. Fitted caps just never work for me.

My Browns Home 1944 Cap arrived last week. It is a fine piece of craftmanship, including a leather headband which is incredibly soft. Unfortunately, it is a bit too small, and I will return it.

The Cooperstown Ballcap Co is great with returns (making me new hats at the proper size and shipping them for free) and offer the returned hats at half price on their website.

So.... a 7 1/4 1944 Brown Home Cap will be on their website for half price as soon as I return it!! (and 1970's Cardinals model as well)
