If this needs to be moved to another section, I'm sorry.

Anyway, I'm trying to edit the Lahman's database so that I have only the players I want in there and to add a few created players. Is there a way to get the ratings the right way or do I have to do something else? Thanks for the help.

not sure what you mean by ratings. but you can simply create a query in which you have the selected players you want and then copy and paste that to excel and then add your players. You then copy and paste the new list of players and stats onto a new database sheet.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who was wondering what he meant by ratings. I thought he had come out with a different version somewhere along the lines and I was left in the dark.

Well, I meant like in the game you can see the players' ratings like ability to hit HRs, etc. In the database, you can't make that up yourself to my knowledge. If this is still confusing, maybe what I'm asking isn't possible.

I take it you have the Lahman database through some sort of computer game, such as OOTP? Have no idea how to do it for those games, haven't played them in long time.

If you are using OOTP, let me know. I've made a few importable databases for the game with Japanese players. It's really not that hard but it is tedious.:)

In Baseball Mogul you can edit the Lahman files included with the game.

But you'll probably have an easier time just clicking the 'Edit Player' button in any player's scouting report. That lets you edit ratings, stats, projected stats, vital stats (like age, weight, birthplace) etc.

No problem. If you do end up buying the game you'll want to wait til May 1st. That's supposed to be when the next version comes out.
