SO, any guesses on when Marcus Sanders makes the majors to stay? Does anyone think that he won't work out in the majors? I think he could be a starter for good by mid-2007. That is, of course, if Kevin Frandsen doesn't take Durham's spot for good before then.
By the way, here are Sanders' '05 stats so far with Low-A Augusta: .297, 381 AB, 5 HR, 35 RBI, 76 R, 52 SB!, .406 OBP
And, while I'm on the subject of prospects, Anyone think MR. 103 MPH (Erick Threets) will make anything of himself in the bigs?
I think that marcus Sanders will go all the way because he is a hard working person and he loves the game.I think that who ever is playing short better watch out because a star is riseing.

marcus shopuld be in the bigs by next season, im a personal friend of marc's and grew up playing on a team with him for years and the kid has it all, a little power, great hands at short, used to pitch and has a cannon and is as fast as anyone in the bigs. He was the best player on our team of 14-16 yo's at 1 time and prince fielder and lastings milledge were also on that team. ;astings 15, prince 16 and marcus had just turned 14

I hate to say it, but he's not exactly ripping up the Single A league he's in. .261 BA for the season, and .191 over his last 10 games with no power. It's gotta get better than that if he's going to even advance to the Giants AA team.
