Used by multiple players does not count, just wondering which batter has the best entrace music in your opinion that is used just by them, at the games that you've attended or watched on TV.
Mine is:
Wilmy Caceres - Sueltme
Trenidad Hubbard - Can't Be Touched
Hee Seop Choi - Unknown Korean rap music

It's the bottom of the 9th, two outs, bases loaded, your team is down by 3, game 7 of the World Series. As you approach the plate, what song do you want playing?

For away games the chant of "Overrated! Overrated!" would be heard.

Anything with Scottish bagpipes. Add to the whole Highlander atmosphere by screaming at the top of your lungs while pointing your bat at the pitcher. If it doesn't scare the bejeebers out of him, it'll sure's heck make him laugh hysterically, thus throwing off his confidence.

I was thinking that exact song. The opening for it is just perfect, I like the bagpipes theme too. Or how about "Here Comes the Boom" WE Will Rocl You also comes to mind, always goes great with sports in big moments.
Heres a new question, its the same situation, but your a relief pitcher being called in, what song do you want playing? I would say Wild Thing, because I love that song from the movie...or again Here Comes the Boom fiots in well.

Hey, yeah, a different version of the Dodgers' sym-phony band.
As for my song, I really love easy listening stuff - I have heard of almost none of the songs listed except the traditional baseball ones like "hit the Road, Jack" (played whnever a pitcher was removed at Munston Stadium in Canton), "youre No Good," and "Wild Thing."
I thikn I'd like something by Weird Al, as someone else said to throw off the pitcher's concentration. The idea of 50,000 fans screaming as "Lasagna" is blared over the loudspeakers, or "Achy-Breaky Song," is amusing.

It's an absolute travesty that the Mets let him use the same freaking song.
But yeah, if I was going to have entrance music as a hitter, it would definitely be the song Natural One by Folk Implosion. Kind of a relatively obscure song, so nobody else would take it, with a nice dramatic leadup to a powerful but mellow drum line, and the opening lyrics: "I'm the one, natural one, make it easy..."

To my knowledge, Billy Wagner had used that song since his days in Houston and then Philly. You're a Philly Phan, aren't you? Wasn't that his entrance music back then?
It hit the radio airwaves last season, but from what I've heard, Wagner used that song before Mo did.
Doesn't matter. The manager of Metallica, the rock group that sings this, said they were very happy with Wagner using this and didn't understand what all the hoopla was about.

There's a surprise...:)
I don't think that the music adds anything to the game, but so what...
The thing to get angry at is the shameless cross-promoting of the signed acts of a record label, by forcing their music into the telecast of a game aired on a network that is owned by a different arm of the same monster that owns the record label.
If Cliff Floyd actually chooses Busta Rhymes, I don't really care. But when Joe Buck makes references to Carrie Underwood and the channel plays her music for no reason other than the fact that the same people who own Fox and pay Joe Buck, also own Carrie Underwood (that's not an exaggeration, read the American Idol winner's contract), I get annoyed.

No, "Load" was their softer album that came out in '96. It is widely regarded as the worst album of their catalogue.
The album's release date was June 4, 1996, a Tuesday. I think, I looked at June 2-8th (Sun to Sat) though I guess it could have been the 3rd - 9th (Mon-Sun).
I made the joke to imply that Mo was so disappointed by the poor effort of his favorite band that he couldn't even keep his head in the game and pitch effectively.

Nothing like a Yankee fan pandering to Red Sox Nation when he's grasping for straws.
"Sweet Caroline" isn't even native to Fenway. Amy Tobey was hired by the Red Sox and given the task of deciding what music would be played at the stadium. She held this position from 1998 through 2004. She started playing "Sweet Caroline" because she noticed it was played at OTHER SPORTING EVENTS.

Generally speaking, I love Fenway Park (except for the fact that the seats are designed for 12 year olds; I'm a big guy, but at 6', 210, I'm certainly not obese... there's really no reason why I shouldn't even be coming close to being able to fit in stadium seats). But there might be nothing in this world that makes me want to gouge out my own eyes with my own thumbs than hearing that stupid song. Not because of the Red Sox connection. whats yankee stadium like? im planning a road trip out east some time in the next year or two when i get out of college to see some games on the east cost.
Yankee Stadium is amazing. Few simple things to sum it up:
1. Don't even THINK about driving there. I used to drive in when I was litigating in the Bronx Count Courthouse every day (the courthouse is about two blocks from the Stadium, so I'd use the stadium parking lots), and there's about 500 total parking spaces (plus, driving in NYC isn't really something that people unfamiliar with the area are in any way prepared for). Take the A train from any of the midtown Manhattan stops to 161st St. / Yankee Stadium, it lets out right next to the ballpark.
2. Bleacher seats are cheap and awesome, but the crowd can get a little hostile for non-Yankee fans (as I know you're relatively anti-Yankee, you probably wouldn't have a good time there). Because the upper deck overhangs the field, pretty much every seat in the house is a great one. Try the right field upper deck; the last time I got tickets up there (two years years ago) they were only $12, and you're literally right on top of the action (too close to see a ball that runs all the way to the rightfield wall, but perfect view of everything else).
3. The experience is literally unbelievable. The bars outside the stadium are an absolute madhouse before and during games (I usually try and catch playoff games from one of the bars on River Ave, because tickets are impossible to get and the atmosphere is still spectacular), and the interior architecture is just drop dead gorgeous... my friend who came out from LA literally stopped dead in his tracks when he first walked out of the tunnell, and couldn't move for about ten seconds... and he's not even a baseball fan.
4. Don't expect any bells and whistles. No fancy gourmet food courts or kid's rides or anything like that. Just an amazing ballpark experience.
Secret hint: The upper deck is partially roofed over, but there are window slits along the very last row in the upper deck. From the windows in the area just to the foul side of the right field foul pole in the upper deck, you can get an absolutely breathtaking view of the Manhattan skyline.

Aack, now you've confused the west coaster. Like the Cali crowd isn't confused enough already. Remember, they live west of the Hudson River. :D
Anywayz, only the #4 and D train will take you straight to Yankee Stadium. If you take the A train (like Duke Ellington famously advised), change to the D at 59th/Columbus Circle or 125th St in Harlem.
I'm still not sure if that's the Bronx Courthouse or House of Detention. Either case, not very far for unruly Yankee fans (as well as visiting fans).

Of course you're right about having to change to the D train; as a Long Islander coming from Penn Station, I take the A to 125th Street from Penn instead of having to walk over to Herald Square to hop the D.
Both the Bronx County Civil and Supreme Courts are in the giant courthouse building on 161st and Grand Concourse. Makes it easy to bring over unruly fans.

Fall out boy....if a player comes up to that...it might as well be that swing of my heart song by that other terrible band all american rejects.
Come now. There are a lot more terrible bands than just Fallout Boy and All American Rejects. Somoene could come up to Simple Plan. Then what would you say?

Just as bad. I'm waiting for a player to walk up to some Paris Hilton.

ID have a good time.... i went to Oakland colluseum and sat in the black hole decked out in chargers gear. Crowds dont get more hostile than that.

And if Wagner had been using it in Houston since 1996 when Mariano Rivera suddenly started pitching for the Houston AL team, it would be an absolute travesty if they let Rivera keep the song. Carpetbaggers have to bend knee to the natives on some things.
Going by this logic, if Bobby Jenks starts using "Enter the Sandman" this year and then Mariano somehow gets traded to the Cubs midseason he would have to give up his song out of respect for his cross-town rival, correct? Also, on behalf of Met fans who started the K-Korner in the mid-80's (or the "KKK Corner" as Phil Rizzutto once called it), I ask that all Yank fans bend on their knees to their crosstown natives (and rulers) and give back what's ours.

When it comes to horrible music, Fall Out Boy takes the cake. Nobody else comes close. All-American Rejects get points for putting songs nobody's ever heard on Madden, and Simple Plan is Canadian. Plus, both those bands are actually somewhat talented, even if they waste it.

After a couple of months, probably not. If he starts using it now, and by some miracle Mo goes to the Cubs in two or three years, then yeah, that'd probably be fair.

Ahh, a wonderful topic. I don't pay all that much attention to the tunes, but I think it'd be hard to top this one, for a number of reasons. When the Giants moved from gloomy old Candlestick to their beautiful new ballpark along the Bay in 2000, they had one of the premier closers, Robb Nen. When he came out in the 9th inning, the place absolutely freakin' r o c k e d with Deep Purple's Smoke on the Water.
Several tunes should be used, if they aren't already. The opening riff to Heart's Crazy on You (http://s95294420.onlinehome.us/userfiles/Crazy_on_youRingT.mp3) would be topnotch. (Click on the title to hear that passage.) It's one of the greatest opening guitar riffs ever.
For a little majesty, I love this segment (http://s95294420.onlinehome.us/userfiles/Two Towers Tr5_RingT2.mp3) from Track 5 of the soundtrack to Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
Other nominees: Headstrong by Trapt, Rock You Like a Hurricane by the Scorpions, Welcome to the Jungle by Guns N' Roses
And why does it have to be walk up music? Why not something like this (http://s95294420.onlinehome.us/userfiles/out_of_gum_x.wav) from Duke Nukem?

My walkup music would have to be
More Human than Human by White Zombie
or
Show Me How to Live by Audioslave
or
Fuel by Metalicca
or
Down with the Sickness by Disturbed
or
Fistful of Steel by Rage Against the Machine
It'd be one of those, I don't know. Probably Fistfull of Steel or Fuel...

The best at-bat music was Chipper Jones with Ozzy's "Crazy Train".
Good one. I was think of this song. The intro gets you going. Most walk-up music is only about 10 seconds long so you need something that will hit you in the face pretty quick.
On the flip side, does anyone know if there's a closer that comes out to the theme from Halloween or The Exorcist? That would be a little different. Long intro that sets the mood.

The only intro music that really sticks in my mind is Boom by P.O.D., when Bret Boone was coming up to bat. I loved it. A great song for a great player (at the time), and it fit him better because it Boom rhymes with Boone.
I'll have to figure out what song I'd want.
I'm considering
Set it Off by P.O.D.
Masterpiece Conspiracy by P.O.D.
Fireproof by Pillar
The Slam by TobyMac (probably works best used by an entire team after anyone hits a grand slam)
Get this Party Started by TobyMac (any time I come up with no one on base - maybe only if less than 2 outs)

When I was with the Greenville Braves, I remember they used to play the Imperial Death March (Darth Vader Theme) when George Lombard came up to bat. Of course, each player had like four or five different songs, but it was pretty cool when they played that.

best one i ever heard was howard pence (hunter's borther i believe) when he was closing for the Independant Winnipeg Goldeyes and he come out of the bullpen to 'Macho Man'. I'd never heard that one before.
