He only lasted 3 weeks there in Minnesota....What's up? :( :noidea It's a shame. I really like Boone.

PS I know this probably belongs in the Minnesota forum, but shoot, he's only been gone 3 weeks.....Get your head together Boonie, and go somewhere and tear it up and help a team make the playoffs. :)

how true...needs to go get his head on straight..re think and re charge
his batteries...but sadly, he's probably finished for the year, maybe for
good...as even Boone fell victim to father time..his reflexes and
bat speed-went south...even his glove was somewhat shaky

I don't think he's finished for good, he kind of seems like the type who'll sign minor league contracts to paly wherever he can until he's 40.

That's the only way Boone will get on another team he'll have to pack it up this year and sign a minor league contract next season.

I think he'd retire if he couldn't play up to his own expectations.

Well I guess Boonie called it quits. I have alot of great memories of his time in Seattle. Enjoy your retirement Bret. :clapping
I'm sorry to dig up an old thread but it's kind of interesting to read what folks said last year.

Yeah, this is an old thread but it's kinda fitting, and sad. I'm glad you brought it back up.
So long Boonie. :waving

I just heard that he retired just a little bit ago. I'm a little sad, and I will miss him. He was always a greay guy to watch - I loved watching him pull a double play, he was so good at it.

Good luck with life past baseball Boone!!!

So here is the question, who will be the next Boone in the Major Leagues?

I heard a XM radio interview with Bret and he said that he lost his passion for the game. It was funny because when he talked with retired players like Edgar Martinez they said that they understood but current players like Richey Sexton begged him to keep playing!
