Which park? Mine would probably be Orioles Stadium. Its such a nice field plus I've seen about 5 or 6 games there and I love it. Such a nice mound, I would love to play there, Miguel Tejada sure does :laugh

How about you

I would want to play at SBC Park. To be right on the ocean with that nice cool coastal breeze on a day game and the fans in San Francisco are very loyal to thier team.

Dodger Stadium of course. Best playing field in the league, even the players rated it no. 1 in a league-wide SI poll.

Ebbets Field.

Camden Yards would probably be second as long as it didn't mean putting up with Angelos.

It's hard to complain about Angelos when you're in first place. :)

Yeh, and even if I weren't biased it would be refreshing to see someone other than the Braves there. :D

I'd play at any of them just to be able to say I was a major leaguer :D But of the 20 or so MLB parks I've been to, old Tiger Stadium remains my favorite, so I'll pick that one.

Wrigley Field would be number one, because....well....it's Wrigley!!!!. Yankee Stadium number 2, because of the history involved.

Wrigley is so scary, with the Ivy, than the brick, and that net that catches homeruns, some lefty was pitching today, his first major league appearance, and two balls that would've been caught were both off the wall, and Burnitz found another ball in that Ivy in right, But, it is a nice field

Miller Park is nice too, home of the Brewers

Well , my dream of course would be to play a game at Yankee stadium. But , I would want to pitch in a major league game , so pitching in Detroit with that deep center field wall would help me.

I'd want to play LF in Fenway. That would be fun with the huge wall right behind you. And to know that I was playing where Ted Williams used to play is pretty cool too.

Today, I would Fenway and Wrigley, not neccesarily in that order.

If I could go back in time, Crosley Field (have to play in the outfield to climb those banks) or Forbes Field.

thats right. i know i know it sounds insane, but if you ever seen pics of it, or played it in a video game like mvp 05, its lots of fun. plus alot of history like the over the sholder catch by mays, or the shot heard around the world.

Probably either Tiger Stadium or any St. Louis stadium.

Tiger stadium because I'd want to play for the hometown team, and there's so much history there.

St. Louis because of the fans and respect and knowledge of the game.

so i could just once haplessly experience what mays went through so gracefully and majestically and marvel at how he made it look so easy.

I would love to be able to play in Baker Bowl.
Of the current stadia, I would choose Wrigley. Ahhh, the sun, the bleachers, the ivy. Could anything be better?

I'm a lefty pull-hitter, so League Park or the Baker Bowl (coming soon to an MVP 2005 game near you!) are my choices. The last places I'd want to play are Mile High and Fenway Park.

Of current parks, I guess it'd be Mordor and AT&T Park.

Well, I would want to play in Tiger Stadium, of course.

But I am also partial to Ebbets Field, the Polo Grounds, Shibe Park and Forbes Field. Wrigley would be great too. Fenway as well.

Pretty much in that order I think.

Mordor's just what I call Yankee Stadium by habit nowadays. Think Lord of the Rings.

As far as SBC, a 309 line with a 365 power alley seems pretty inviting to a lefty, high wall included. It's just no Baker Bowl.

Actually, I got to take batting practice at Comerica, and the sad part was that I had a lot more fun hitting in the cage under the stands than I did on the field. My picks would be old Tiger stadium (I swear I could inside out one to that overhang in right) and I'd love to play one off the wall at Fenway.

My old wiffle ball park:D. We had it all, including lights, scoreboard, national anthem, and a dugout. I even kept track of stats and wrote a weekly newspaper on a typewriter with carbon paper. I wish I kept all that stuff.:ughh

I only just now saw this post from last summer. When I said "first place" I was talking about the Nationals, who were in first place when I wrote that. I couldn't care less about the Orioles. I just like their ballpark. There's no denying that it's once of the nicest I've ever seen and that it blows away RFK Stadium (of course, given that RFK is some 45 years old, it would be pretty sad if Camden Yards DIDN'T blow it away!).

Back in 1997, I had the privelege to play baseball again at the age of 37 when I discovered the MSBL. The following fall, I had the further great fortune of playing at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown New York. I doubled over the rightfielders head and if it weren't for the 52 year old Greyhound chugging along in front of me I surely could have stretched it into a triple.(The Old Fashioned Batter who tripled to right!) I mention this because if you get yourelf into reasonable shape, you can share in this incredible experience.
I'll be 46 in October. My playing days are long over but if I had to pick one ballpark, I'd settle right now to have a catch with my 15 and 7 year old sons in centerfield at Yankee Stadium. The Polo Grounds would be second if I could somehow cross over into the cornfield.

Yankee Stadium would be the number one choice and old Crosley Field in Cincinnati would be a close second. I would love to stand at old Crosley where some of the greatest baseball players in history stood.

Fenway would be the park I would want to play in. Such a magical stadium and the monster is a great feature. Also the thought of the history and all the great red sox to play there. And I am a red sox fan so there is no better park.

StanTheMan

In my heart, I would have to pick Busch Stadium, having seen countless games there, Four World Series Games, Bob Gibson Day, Lou Brock Day.... etc. I was fortunate to have taken my own family to games there over the last couple of years.

But the Polo Grounds is a VERY close second. The place was not ridiculous at all, it is my favorite old ballpark. Heck, Braves Field once had a 550 feet center field fence, making the Polo Grounds a mere chip shot to the CF bleachers!!! The rendition of it on MLB 2006 The Show is fantastic, and it is a blast to play a video game in that park.... can't imagine playing an actual game there.

Sportsman's Park is third, just to stand in the box, dig in, and think to myself... StanTheMan would just crush the ball here....

Yankee Stadium (also watched a game there... the history is just dripping off the walls) is fourth, believe it or not.

While I have written numerous essays and articles on ballparks, determining the best ones, the most enjoyable at which to play is a different story.

I wouldn't like SBC. Too sunny and no pattern on the outfield grass.

I guess the most interesting to play in would be
Kauffman
Cit Bank Park
BOB
Dodger Stadium
Jake
USCell
Oriole Park

i would kill for a chance to play a day game at wrigley. it looks so nice during the afternoon and the histiry there is unbelievable. my neighbour went down for a afternoon game against the reds last year and said it was an experience of a lifetime and he doesn't even really like baseball.

if not wrigley, i would probably say fenway.
